SEEING RED

...But in a good way! Ez and I both took the day off, so while he worked on a few less exciting things and Johnnie played at her Gramma's, I managed to put a coat of Sherwin Williams' Crabby Apple Red on a small section of the siding.

It was a little jarring at first, like wearing red lipstick for the first time. But the color will deepen with another coat or two (I freaked out when I painted the front door and it came out such a bright red, but after the second coat I fell in love), and it will look much better when all the siding matches. Right now I definitely see a clown face with the white siding on top around two window eyes, and the big red smile on the bottom. But don't worry. We'll fix up this funhouse sooner or later. (I'd bet on later.)

Oh yeah, and Happy Thanksgiving! We're celebrating with Ez's family this year and they eat late in the day, so hopefully we'll get to paint a little more in the morning if we can motivate ourselves.

    1. Thanks. Definitely for sure absolutely looking forward to it. (Then I'll probably get impatient to do some landscaping!) But having this done will be and look so so so much better.

Happy Thanksgiving to you guys too!
